"I feel like I have to double-check everything"
I check The Epoch Times every now and then, but i’ve been burned too many times trusting a story too quickly. Some articles seem okay, but then others feel really one-sided or like they’re leaving out important details, which puts me in the annoying position of having to go search somewhere else just to figure out what’s actually true. It’s frustrating because I just want to read the news without feeling like I’m the one doing all the work. It’s not the worst outlet out there, but I don’t feel like I can rely on it.

"Refund took way too long"
I asked for a refund it dragged on way longer than I expected. Every time I reached out, support just told me to wait a little longer, which got frustrating after a while. I did get the money back eventually, but the whole process was more annoying than it needed to be...

"I gave The Epoch Times a..."
I gave The Epoch Times a try for a while because I was expecting more straightforward news coverage, but it ended up feeling a lot more political than I thought it would. A lot of the articles seemed to be pushing a particular side instead of just laying out what happened.
I’m fine with opinion pieces when they’re clearly labeled, but after a bit it felt like almost everything had the same slant. That gap between what I expected and what I was actually reading made me start wondering what context or other viewpoints were being left out.

Eventually I stopped checking it and removed the bookmark. If you already line up with their perspective, you might like it, but I was looking for news, not something that felt like a daily argument

"I check out The Epoch Times once in..."
I check out The Epoch Times once in a while, a lot of the articles are simple to get through and not a chore to read. Sometimes I’m like, yeah, this lines up with what I’ve seen elsewhere, so that’s reassuring. But then I’ll hit an opinion piece and it feels kind of slanted, which is a little annoying. Overall, I wouldn’t say it’s bad at all, but I also wouldn’t just take every big claim at face value. It’s useful, just maybe keep another source open too

"Absolutely Not My Thing"
I really wanted to like it, but wow, it just did not work for me at all. I left feeling so disappointed, like I had wasted my time, and I can’t imagine going back.

"Billing was a little confusing"
The site itself is fine, fine overall, but the billing part was kind of frustrating. I thought I had canceled, and then I still saw a charge come through. Support did help after I reached out, but it took a bit, took a bit longer than I expected. Not a terrible experience, just wish the cancellation and billing stuff was clearer.

I do like some of the articles and that’s why I keep trying to use it, but the app is just way too slow for me, it takes forever to load, freezes when I’m scrolling, and every now and then it just sends me right back to the home page for no reason. The videos are kind of hit or miss too, sometimes they play fine and other times they barely work, and for a paid news app I just feel like the mobile experience should be a lot smoother than this

"So the paywall got old fast"
so I tried to read one article and the paywall popped up almost immediately. it just felt like more hassle than it was worth for me.

"Good reads, and the comments pull me in"
I check The Epoch Times a few times a week, usually when an article pops up in my feed or someone shares it. I’m not on there every day, but if the headline sounds interesting, I’ll usually click through.

The articles are generally easy to follow, and the comments are what keep me around longer than I expected. You can kind of tell from the tone of some comments where people are coming from, or at least I catch myself assuming that, which makes the discussion more interesting to read.

I’m giving it 4 stars because it does keep me engaged and I usually find something useful. Some topics can feel a little one-sided or repeated too often, but overall I still end up coming back.

"Logging in shouldn't be this hard"
Half the time I try to log in, it just gets stuck in a loop and I can’t even use the app. It’s really frustrating, especially when there’s no useful help or clear fix. If a company expects people to trust their service, the least they can do is make sure basic access actually works

"Support helped, but it took a bit"
I had to reach out to support about my subscription. They did get back to me, but it took longer than I thought it would. The first response felt kind of like a copy-and-paste answer, so I had to follow up. Once they looked into it more, the issue got fixed. Overall, it wasn’t bad, just average.

"Spent Way Too Long Waiting for Help"
I had to wait in the queue for what felt like forever before anyone got back to me. The replies were really slow, and by the time I finally got a response, I was already annoyed. Customer service definitely needs to be faster.

I tried using the site, but it just felt kind of biased to me . It made it hard to take the information seriously, and I’m not sure I’d rely on it again ...

I tried out theepochtimes.com on a trial, the signup part was much smoother than the cancellation. When I decided it wasn’t really for me, I expected to find a clear cancel button, but I ended up clicking around more than I should have and still wasn’t totally sure if the cancellation had actually gone through.
To be fair, support did get back to me eventually, so it wasn’t like I was completely ignored. But from my perspective, canceling a trial should feel just as straightforward as starting one, and this made the whole experience more frustrating than it needed to be...

"I read The Epoch Times fairly often, and..."
I read The Epoch Times fairly often, and overall I think the reporting is solid. They cover certain stories I don’t always see on the bigger news sites, and some of the longer pieces actually go into a decent amount of detail without being hard to follow.

At the same time, I do sometimes feel a little pressured by the tone, like it’s nudging me toward one side instead of just laying everything out. Because of that, I usually check a couple other sources too. Still, it’s a clear and useful site if you read it with some balance

"The subscription price feels fair to..."
The subscription price feels fair to me. I end up reading it most mornings with my coffee, which is more than I can say for a lot of stuff I’ve signed up for. I’m not big on all the polished “best value” marketing language companies throw around, but in this case it does feel like I’m getting my money’s worth.

"I gave The Epoch Times a try for..."
I gave The Epoch Times a try for a while and even kept checking the email updates/receipts from my subscription because I wanted to be sure I was giving it a fair shot. But the more I read, the more the articles felt really one-sided. A lot of the headlines seemed overly dramatic, and the opinion section felt like it was blending into the regular news. I don’t mind a publication having a point of view, but I’d prefer a clearer line between reporting and commentary. In the end, it just didn’t feel like a place I could rely on for straight, balanced news.

"I don’t know, I’m just mentally..."
I don’t know, I’m just mentally drained from clicking on headlines that sound one way and then the actual story ends up being something totally different. It happens way too often, and after a while it just feels misleading and frustrating

"I signed up thinking the newsletter might be..."
I signed up thinking the newsletter might be useful, like a quick way to keep up with stuff, but it got old fast. A lot of it felt like the same headlines over and over, with those kind of clicky subject lines that make you think there’s more there, and then... not really.

They also sent way more emails than I expected, which started to feel a bit spammy in my inbox. Unsubscribing was more of a hassle than it needed to be too. Maybe it works for some people, I don’t know, but for me it just wasn’t worth keeping around.

"Good mix of stuff to read"
and I like that it covers a bunch of different topics instead of just being all politics all the time. Some articles can feel a little over the top, but overall it’s interesting enough that I keep coming back...
